Hello everyone! Happy Valentine's day! I think I've recently fallen in love with Valentine's day. Not because I have a special someone--because I definitely don't. But because I realized that it's a day all about love and the goodness of mankind--or at least, it should be. So this year, rather than celebrating with candy and Valentines for my friends, I thought it'd be fun to write notes to complete strangers or acquaintances telling them to have a nice day, and to keep smiling. Just try to spread the love to everyone on this very special day.
I was really inspired by this song:
Isn't that beautiful? "'Have a nice day' is simple to say, and it'll go a long way".
Think of how happy the world would be if you shared one little note, then the recipient smiled at someone, and then they held a door for someone who was running late for class, and so on. The possibilities are beautifully endless!
So here's how I'm going to help YOU spread the love today. I've made up these fun little Valentine's day cards for you to download (free for personal use) and print for all of your sweet, random acts of kindness.

Happy Valentine's Week! Is that a thing? It is now. To celebrate, I've whipped up some brand spanking new Color with a Cause pages, just for you! I know it's been FOREVER since the last installment, so thanks for being patient with me. I think I'm getting close to enough pages to start thinking about a full on coloring book. Hooray! (if you're new to Color with a Cause, you can find answers to all your questions HERE.)
Remember, please, that I ask that in exchange for these pages you would:
1) Donate any amount to the Color with a Cause Foundation
I think this is one of my favorite quotes I've found for the "Quote of the Week" series, and it came in really good timing: you may have noticed that things have gotten more than a little sparse around here. This past week I've done a lot of stepping back and thinking about the big picture. It was one of those crazy weeks where I had to think about what was really important, and believe it or not, posting daily didn't quite cut it. I had a lot of things on my plate, and after a long week of praying and hard work, I think I know what's right for my life right now.
But this week I should be back in action, and I even have new Color with a Cause pages to share with you, just in time for Valentine's Day! Thanks for being patient about this week. Remember to take life one step at a time, because that's one thing that really helped me out this past week. Baby steps, my friends. Baby steps.
This weekend I had the opportunity to visit sunny St. George, Utah for an amazing music educators conference. I was SO inspired by everything, and I really really enjoyed going. This was one of my favorite quotes from the weekend. Isn't it the best thought?
